Evaluation: Review of your medical history and discussion of your current condition happens during both an orthopedic and pelvic floor evaluation.
Assessment: A Pelvic floor evaluation or treatment session may include an internal or external pelvic floor assessment. This is completed in order to assess your pelvic floor musculature. It will only be completed with your verbal consent.
Both orthopedic and pelvic floor evaluations/treatments will include a thorough assessment of involved joints, muscles, and affected movement patterns.
You will leave your session with an understanding of your physical therapy diagnosis in addition to a plan of action moving forward. You will also be provided exercises to complete outside of PT.
